T-minus 2 weeks! That's when I'll embark on the most physically demanding event I've ever attempted. The Colorado Trail Race is a grueling 470 miles over the Rockies with a lung busting 65,000' of elevation gain. This is a unsupported individual mountain biking attempt. There is no entry fee, no prize money, no T-shirt, and no support. Everything I need (except resupplies of food and water) will be strapped on myself or my bike.
You can track my progress online. I'll be carrying a SPOT locator which you can follow in real time here: http://trackleaders.com/ctr. The race starts at 6:30am MST on August 2nd. The winner will generally finish within 5 days. I hope to be done in 10. My primary goal is to survive, then to finish, then to get within 10 days. Don't expect to see my locator at the front of the pack! I will not be there.

Many will start, few will finish. I plan on being one of them!
